Most feelings books do the same job five different ways. These do five different jobs. Each one takes a single competency from the CASEL framework, the same framework your child's school is most likely using, and turns it into a story.

Before you order
Four to six is the sweet spot. A three-year-old will sit through the pictures. A seven-year-old will read them alone and still get something out of the ending, but by eight they've usually moved on.
Start with one if you have a specific problem right now. If your child is melting down without being able to say why, start with I Don't Know How to Say It. The set makes sense when you want the whole range rather than one fix, and it saves $9.96.
