Each volume is designed so a teacher can pick it up and use it without prep. Twenty figures means one figure a day, four-figure rotations per week, or weekly spotlights with deeper discussion. The format works the same way every time:
Total time per figure: about 20–30 minutes. Easy to slot between morning meeting and reading time. Easy to leave on a center table for self-directed work.
Pair the right volume to the right month or unit.
Volume 1: Trailblazers — or any volume. The full series is built for it. One figure per school day covers the month.
Volume 5: Black Women Heroines — Katherine Johnson, Mae Jemison, and eighteen more remarkable women.
Volume 2: Scientists & Inventors — pairs beautifully with science fair season and STEM weeks.
Grandma Tells the Story of Juneteenth — the picture book your Juneteenth programming has been missing.
Volume 3: Leaders & Activists — conversations about courage, democracy, and standing up for what's right.
Volume 4: Artists & Musicians — Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and the cultural giants who built American sound.
